On November 17th, 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show was grandly opened, at this auto show site. The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Edition was officially launched, and five sub-models were launched, with a price range of 968,000-1.378 million yuan. The new car is positioned as a medium and large SUV, and this year’s change is mainly aimed at upgrading some configurations. As the main sales model of the Land Rover brand, this new listing has also attracted the attention of many consumers.
In terms of appearance, the new car continues the design language of Land Rover family as a whole. Compared with the big brother Range Rover, the size of the net is slightly smaller and blackened. The internal structure of LED light groups on both sides has also been adjusted, and the shape is relatively flat. After the daytime running lights are lit, they also have a sharper visual effect. The front enclosure has been more sporty, with a large opening for ventilation and heat dissipation, and the details have also been blackened.
On the side of the car body, the design of the whole car still inherits the classic outline lines of the sports version, and the suspended roof created by the two-color car body is also very visually impactful. The land rover brand’s iconic clamshell front cover has also been preserved, and the upward penetration of the waistline has further enhanced the sports atmosphere of the whole vehicle. The addition of the hidden door handle effectively reduces the wind resistance, and the design of the large-size blackened rim is more sporty. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the car are 4946/2047/1820mm and the wheelbase is 2997 mm.
At the rear of the car, the taillights of the new car are slender and flat, which expands the visual width of the tail to a certain extent. Through-type black decorative strips connect the LED taillights on both sides, forming an effect similar to the through-type taillights, which has a good fashion atmosphere. The bottom adopts the exhaust layout of two sides, and the size of the exhaust port is extremely large, and the overall tail shape is full, which has a strong sense of strength.
The interior part is not much different from the current model. The car system will introduce the latest generation of PIPIPRO entertainment system. In terms of scientific configuration, it is equipped with a combination of 13.1-inch central control panel and full LCD instrument, and a large area of leather material is coated with black piano paint to further improve the interior texture.
In terms of power, the new car is still equipped with a 3.0T engine, with the maximum power of 360 HP and 400 HP respectively, and the transmission system is matched with an 8-speed automatic manual transmission. In addition, the plug-in hybrid version will continue to be equipped with a combination of 3.0T engine and motor, and the comprehensive maximum power of the system will be increased to 550 HP.
